How Scam Rakshak keeps you safe
Real-time WhatsApp scam detection
Scam Rakshak monitors your WhatsApp activity for the tricks scammers use and uses behaviour and pattern recognition to warn you against potential scams. Once protection is turned on, it works quietly in the background and alerts you only when it detects signs of a potential scam.
You decide who to trust
When an unknown number raises concern, Scam Rakshak asks whether you know them. Answering "I know them" marks the number as trusted and ends its warnings. Answering "This is a scam" marks the number, opens a step-by-step guide to block it, and informs your family. If that number ever contacts you again, Scam Rakshak warns you. You can change your decision at any time from your Alert history.
Protection during the call
Scammers depend on keeping you talking. Scam Rakshak measures WhatsApp call patterns as they unfold and warns you during the call itself, while a warning can still change the outcome.
Your family alert network
When Scam Rakshak detects danger, it alerts the family members you have chosen. The national cybercrime helpline 1930 has its own button on your home screen.

An amber alert means unusual activity, so check in when you can. A red alert means a high-risk pattern, so call them immediately. Every alert includes the numbers involved, the attempts made, and the minutes spent.

One tap coordinates the family
Pressing "I'll handle it" tells every other member the situation is covered. Recent Alerts shows what is happening now, and Alert History holds the archive.
Evidence, not surveillance
You see the patterns of WhatsApp activity: which numbers, how often, and for how long. Scam Rakshak never stores or shares their messages, and never hears their calls. The status line on your home screen confirms their protection is live.
