Our Story

Blu was a ringneck parrot — blue, loud, certain she ran the house. For years she was the first hello in the morning and the last goodnight. She was my best friend.

When she passed away suddenly one day, I had a choice: sit inside the grief, or channel it into something good. Blu Codeworks is what I chose — a small independent studio in Tasmania, named after her.

We build things that look after the ones you love: small apps for the moments that matter. When someone you care about could be taken advantage of. When you're about to say something you can't take back. When you'd rather not face something alone. Each one starts with a real person we wanted to protect or help.

That's the whole story. I lost my best friend, and I chose to make something good out of it.
